SBB Care Packages of Love for families in Nassau County. We were able to deliver groceries and a gift card to families from the First Baptist Cathedral of Westbury, the Westbury AME Zion Church, and the Eben-Ezer Haitian Baptist Church of Westbury.
On November 25th, the brothers of Sigma Beta Beta along with the devastating divas of Delta Sigma Theta of Nassau Alumnae Chapter visited multiple small black businesses to offer support and economic growth. The hope is that the initiative will become bigger ever year to create awareness for small black businesses.
On an annual basis from November 23rd to December 24th, the Sigma Beta Beta chapter participates in the Salvation Army Red Kettle Drive. The brothers volunteer to ring the bell outside of department stores to raise money and awareness for the homeless or people in need.
On October 15th, 2017, the brothers of Sigma Beta Beta participated in the annual Breast Cancer Walk at Jones Beach in Long Island. The walk is to raise awareness for breast cancer which is participated by many people and organizations from all over New York.
On November 4th, 2017, the brothers of Sigma Beta Beta in conjunction with the ladies of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. Pi Pi Omega chapter with their monthly mentoring program with the students of Westbury High School. The brothers engage the students with “real talk” discussing life, academics, choices and experiences.
On November 19th, 2017, the Basileus of Sigma Beta Beta along with Bro. Jerry Mackey entertained our 39th Grand Basileus Bro. Dr. Andrew A. Ray and 28th 2nd District Representative Bro. Benjamin Jeffers for breakfast to talk about the current state of the fraternity, fraternity history and the ideals of Omega.
